My father Carlo Cochetti and my mother Stefania Chieffi Cochetti influenced a lot my dog life, actually you could say I was born in the puppypen! My parents started to breed Poodles year 1960. Year 1970 they got their affix "Della Perla Grigia" from Italian Kennel Club. My father became also a judge and he was more concentrated in judging than in breeding. So the real breeder was my mother. She started with silver Dwarf Poodles and she was the first breeder in Italy to import the apricot colour when it was recognized by FCI. "Della Perla Grigia" produced many champions. Their lines came from England (Tiopepi, Merrymorn, Rhosbridge) and from Holland, especially for silver colour (Vom Orechers Hof). We lived in the country, near Rome until the end of year 1980, when my father became sick. In the countryside we had about 20 poodles, dwarfs and toys, silver, apricot and black. When we had to move in Rome dew my fathers health conditions, we put all dogs in pet families except two or three. My father died year 1992 and my mothers health wasn't the best either. She stopped to breed, but kept 2 pampered pets to keep her company.
